The 2026 General Assembly Session begins January 14, 2026. The bill list will grow daily, and will keep track of the updated status of each as the assembly goes forward.
We follow bills that related to higher education policies and issues, including those that impact public higher education. We also follow matters that could impact the Virginia Private Colleges Benefits Consortium and Multiple-Employer Retirement Program, as well as those that will impact the operation of our institutions from the point of view of our Human Resources and Finance functions. We follow some K-12 education bills as they impact the way that students are prepared for post-secondary education.
